My top two favourite books..

Hey guys,
Today I thought that I would just to a short and sweet blog post for you guys.
I am going to be telling you guys about my two favourite books that I have ever read. I love reading, it is one of my favourite things to do but sometimes I don't always have the time to sit down and read, I will go through times where I won't read for ages and then I'll pick up a book and not be able to put it down.

The first one I want to speak about is a trilogy of books, okay so this is more like my top 4 favourite books but nevermind. It's the Divergent series by Veronica Roth, I read all 3 books in a week, which I thought was absolutely brilliant. This wasn't the sort of situation where you started a book and you feel like you have to finish it in your first sitting, I literally fell in love with these books and COULD NOT put them down. I felt so involved in the story line, I especially loved the characters and the fact that it went through there background based on what the book is about. I'm not normally a fan of action/adventure books or even films, but I saw the trailer for the first movie and as soon as I found out that there was a collection of books that the film was based on, I knew that I had to read them, so I went out and got them. I'm not going to talk about what happens in the books because I don't want to ruin it for anyone who's wanting to read them, although most of you have probably seen the films, which if you have I definitely recommend the books as they are 10x better!

The second book, was one that I read more recently, it was infact the last book that I read. The Secrets Of Happiness by Lucy Diamond. I LOVED THIS BOOK. I still haven't been able to get over the book and this is therefore why I have not yet read or started another one. This book is about some step-sisters who don't see eye-to-eye until something goes terribly wrong and they have to learn to get along to overcome it, (SPOILER), it's a happy ending :) I loved this book and felt connected to it on so many levels, I loved the characters, the story, the plot..everything. I highly recommend this book.

I hope you guys enjoyed this shorter blog this week, sorry I was MIA the last few weeks.
See you soon,
Ash xo

PS. I also just want to mention that one of my favourite series of books is Zoella's but I'm going to do a seperate blog about them when I've read the third one:)

Mini Lush Haul & Review

Hey guys!!
So I am so excited to be writing this blog this week, as it's a LUSH HAUL! I've never done one of these before but I bought some stuff when I was in the shop the other week and thought that I may as well share with you guys!

I've used so many Lush products before, but I mainly use the bath bombs as I just think they are so pretty! Fun fact; the first thing I ever bought from Lush was a skin tint when I was like 11 and I had no idea how to use it so ended up giving it to my mum! ..moving on. We may as well dive straight in!!

The first product I picked up was 'The Comforter' bubble bar, I LOVE this, I've had this so many times and I definitely think it's one of my favourite products from Lush. To use this you run your tap as you normally would, you can either cut/break a bit of the bubble bar off or just crumble it underneath the running water straight from the bar, I tend to do this because I'm to lazy to cut bits off.  Either way works just as well. As you crumble it, bubbles will start to form, don't worry about not crumbling it all, as any bits that fall into the bath will also turn into bubbles! As well as creating lots of bubbles, this also turns your bath water a sort of baby pink colour, it also smells like 'Snow Fairy'. ( If you've never used Snow Fairy before, it smells really sweet almost like cotton candy)
This product retails for £4.95 and normally lasts me 6/7 baths.

The next product that I picked up was 'The Northern Lights' bath bomb. I used this last night and to be completely honest I had higher expectations. When you first drop it into the bath it looks so pretty and it makes you think that the bath water is going to turn like a purple colour, but there is a lot more blue and yellow in this bath bomb than what meets the eye, the bath water turns like a dark grey/green. Although I wasn't impressed about the colour, I really liked the smell of this, it was very floral and it just smelt really clean. This also did not leave any residue in the bath and with a quick rinse it was gone.
This product retails for £3.95.

The next product a picked up was a Christmas bath bomb, I've never used any of these before and got really excited when I saw them in the shop so I decided to treat myself and get one. This one is called 'Father Christmas'. Again I paired this with my comforter bubble bar the other day and absolutely loved it! This was such a pretty bath bomb, the inside is green so it makes your bath a sort of Christmas tree green. I liked this bath bomb a little more than there normal bath bombs because there wasn't a whole lot of glitter in this one, so I didn't get out the bath looking like Edward Cullen from Twilight. This also made my skin super smooth! Unfortunately I can't tell you guys what it smells like because I couldn't smell it, I've been full of cold for nearly 2 weeks and can barely smell anything:(
This product retails for £3.75 and this is a one time use product. I'll definitely be getting another one soon!

I hope you guys enjoyed this blog, I'm going to be picking up some more Lush things soon, so I may do another haul (I'll make sure to pick up some different things). I love Lush, although there products can be expensive, ALL products are handmade, 100% vegetarian, 100% recyclable packaging and they DO NOT test on animals. Personally I think Lush is worth the money and I will continue to buy from there store.

Thank you guys for reading!
See you soon,

What are my favourite TV shows?

Hey guys,

I'm back again and this time I thought that I would go through what some of my favourite TV shows are. I just want to point out that I don't actually watch tele all that much, Youtube is more my thing. Baring that in mind I have watched some awesome TV shows.

Orange is the new black, is one of my all time favourites, unfortunately this is a Netflix original series and the only way any of you guys who may not have Netflix can watch it, is to buy the series on DVD. Obviously that is a pretty pricey way of doing it! This show isn't for everyone and especially not younger people (I think it's an 18) as it can be quite inappropriate at times, to be honest I'm not really a fan of this part of the show but I really like the story lines behind all the characters. I've also followed the show since it came out in 2013, so I can't stop now and not find out what happens!!

The next TV show that I fell in love with is Game Of Thrones, a friend actually recommended this to me about a year ago and I was at first reluctant to watch it because of how long it would take me, but never the less, I started it and I fell in LOVE!! Honestly, this show is so brilliant, I don't want to give away any spoilers to any of you who might want to watch it but haven't got around to it yet. (I got you covered). But for any of you have seen it, you all know what I'm talking about!! It's so engaging and addicting, I would sit and watch episode after episode because I just couldn't stop!!! Again this is another show that isn't for the faint-hearted, as there is quite a lot of violence and it can be quite gory! I watch this on Sky Atlantic but you can also get the boxsets from Amazon or places like HMV.

I then thought instead of going on and going through tons and tons of TV shows that I've watched over the years that I would just include some all time favourites of mine. The first one being I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, which if your from the UK you'll know that most families in Britain  watch this show RELIGIOUSLY, I know me and my family do!! It's a show I've watched for as long as I can remember! It simply is a classic, you know Christmas is coming when I'm a Celeb starts again. Even better it starts again this weekend! Personally, I'm a Celeb is one of them shows that never gets boring for me because it is always changing and there is always new people going in, and you get to see some celebrities that you don't always see in the media everyday and I think it also shows them in a different light, I generally just think the shows hilarious and I CANNOT wait for it to be back on. The best thing is, the Christmas adverts are always shown through the breaks aka The Coca Cola advert aka THE BEST CHRISTMAS ADVERT EVER! Plus the John Lewis advert is another one that they show, which I love because it's always so heartwarming and just puts me right into the Christmas mood!

Wow, so I didn't realise how excited I would get writing about the last one, mainly because it's to do with Christmas and I love Christmas. So, I thought I would take it down a notch and tell you guys about a series that you have probably heard of because it was incredibly popular when it came out and for many years afterwards. It's about a guy from Essex meeting a girl from Barry in Wales. If you haven't guessed it already, I'm talking about Gavin & Stacey. This is honestly one of my favourite TV shows that I have re-watched so many times, I go through phases with it, I will watch it day in, day out for a few weeks and then not watch it for ages. But it's so good! I just don't think you can go wrong with it! This was originally shown on BBC One I think but it is now on Netflix, and finally they have put on all 3 series! If you have never seen Gavin & Stacey, I highly suggest you check it out, it's almost like watching The Big Bang Theory or How I Met Your Mother, it's so addictive and never gets boring!

I hope you guys enjoyed this weeks post! Let me know if any of you guys watch these or if you decide to start watching them! Also let me know any series you think I should watch!
See you next time,
Ash xo

P.S I tried really hard not to put spoilers in here!

Hello,
I'm Ashleigh and I thought that I would give the whole blogging thing a go. Well, I guess I better introduce myself properly, I'm 16 and currently studying Beauty Therapy at college, and by the way it is amazing! I've made so many new friends who I never imagined that I would be friends with. All in all I prefer college so much to school, it's so much more relaxed and just generally better (because who enjoys school?). I mean don't get me wrong I loved school in many ways, mainly for the friends that I was able to meet, but the majority of my time at school I didn't like. So, that's enough about school and college and all the boring things, lets get into the blog. I've decided to start off with a 10 facts about me post.
 1. I have one brother who's 4 years older than me called Luke.

 8. I love watching youtube, I watch it more than I watch television, I like a whole range of youtubers, from the vloggers(aka Zoella and Gabriella Lindley) to the Sidemen and the viners(aka David Dobrik, TFIL, Scotty Sire and Zane Hijasi).
